PLO engine

The PLO engine (PulseGTO_plo.exe) brings PulseGTO to pot-limit Omaha. It trains a whole-game 6-max blueprint on your own PC and solves heads-up postflop spots from the blueprint's ranges or from your own. It runs behind the PLO mode of the desktop Engine, with the same Strategy layout as Hold'em: the grid, the seats strip, the action buttons with their EV and the Strategy detail tabs.

The blueprint

  • Preflop: one strategy for each of the 16,432 PLO hand classes; all 270,725 starting hands map onto them, so every hand is covered exactly.
  • The game: pot-size opens and re-raises up to the 5-bet, the small blind may complete, up to three players see a flop. Stack, rake and sizes are set per blueprint.
  • Postflop inside the blueprint: hands are described by their made strength against every holding the opponent can have (kickers, nut flushes, nut straights), by their outs to the nuts on the next card and by their blockers, at three levels: small, medium and high.
  • EVs for both players after the flop: the EV grid, the EV on each action and both EV curves.
  • Training: MCCFR on all cores at below-normal priority; Continue trains a blueprint further at any time, and Compute EVs fills in its postflop EVs.
  • Download: PLO 6-max 100 bb is ready to install from the Download page.

The postflop solver

  • Every hand separately in both ranges, with exact blockers between the hands and the board, and exact pots and rake.
  • Run solves any heads-up flop of a blueprint line from both players' blueprint ranges, or a spot you set up in Postflop Settings.
  • Re-solve computes a turn or river street for every hand and every river card, in the tree the node is in (the blueprint's sizes in the blueprint view). Change node uses your own sizes instead.
  • EQ shows each hand's equity against the other range; Runouts and Scared Off work as in Hold'em.
