Multiway and three-way poker solvers in 2026
Most popular solvers are heads-up only after the flop: PioSOLVER, GTO+, Deepsolver and TexasSolver solve two players. Pots with three or more players need a tool built for them, and those tools differ in one thing that matters more than the feature list: whether the multiway spot is solved for every hand combination or with card abstraction, where hands are grouped into buckets that share a strategy.

Exact or abstracted: the difference that matters
A multiway game tree grows fast. Card abstraction makes large trees fit: hands are grouped into buckets on each street and every hand in a bucket plays one strategy. That is how MonkerSolver and RocketSolver cover four to nine players, and MonkerSolver suggests 15–30 buckets per street. The cost is precision inside each bucket: two hands that the abstraction puts together cannot play differently, even when they should.
An exact solve tracks every combination of every range instead. It needs far more memory, so it is limited to smaller trees and fewer players. PulseGTO’s three-way re-solve is exact per combination; its preflop blueprints use hand buckets for the postflop part and you re-solve a spot exactly when it matters. Neither approach is “better” in general: abstraction answers bigger questions roughly, exact solving answers a narrower question precisely.
Which tool for which job
- Exact three-way postflop spots on your own PC: PulseGTO. In the cloud: GTO Wizard Ultra.
- Four or more players after the flop: MonkerSolver or RocketSolver, both with abstraction. PulseGTO’s dedicated postflop solver covers two or three players.
- Full ring preflop, 7–9 players: RocketSolver, GTO Wizard Ultra or HRC. PulseGTO trains blueprints for two to six players.
- Multiway tournament spots with ICM: HRC on the desktop, GTO Wizard in the cloud. PulseGTO has ICM and bounty preflop blueprints and heads-up re-solves with ICM, not three-way ICM re-solves.
- Pot-Limit Omaha multiway: MonkerSolver solves PLO with any number of players. PulseGTO’s PLO blueprint shows flops that three players see, and its PLO re-solve is heads-up.
- Nothing to install: GTO Wizard.
A heads-up solve with dead money is not a three-way solve
A common shortcut is to drop the third player and solve a heads-up pot with extra money in the middle. It misses what a third player changes: card removal from a third range, action order, side pots and the threat of a player still to act. The three-way solver page shows how a three-player spot is set up, and the three-way documentation explains how its accuracy is measured: the average gain each player could make by deviating alone.
Test before you buy
Rebuild one three-way spot you know, with the same three ranges, stacks, side pots, bet sizes and rake, in each trial. Compare each player’s EV and the strategy of a few key hands, not only the grid, and note whether the tool solved every combination or used buckets. Our checklist covers what to record so the comparison is fair.
Questions
Can PioSOLVER solve three-way pots?
No. PioSOLVER solves two players after the flop. For three-way spots use a multiway tool: GTO Wizard Ultra in the cloud, or MonkerSolver, RocketSolver, HRC Pro, Simple 3-Way or PulseGTO on the desktop.
Which poker solver handles more than three players after the flop?
MonkerSolver (any number of players) and RocketSolver (up to nine), both with card abstraction. PulseGTO’s dedicated postflop solver covers two or three players.
What is the difference between an exact and an abstracted multiway solve?
An exact solve gives every hand combination its own strategy; it needs much more memory, so it fits smaller trees. An abstracted solve groups hands into buckets that share a strategy, which lets larger multiway trees fit but loses precision inside each bucket.
Is there a free multiway poker solver?
We found no free open-source solver for multiway postflop spots. MonkerSolver has a free version for the turn and river, and RocketSolver and PulseGTO offer free trials.
Try it on your own spots
The seven-day trial includes the NLHE and PLO engines, with no payment card. The desktop engine needs Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit) and a CPU with AVX2; activation needs an internet connection.
