Terms of Service
In short: a free account browses our published strategy library with a daily cap. Browse is a monthly subscription that removes the cap. Engine is a one-time purchase of the PulseGTO desktop solver, licensed to you and your devices. Nothing is computed on our servers; the solver runs on your own computer. Use the software for study, not for real-time assistance at the tables.
1. Who we are
The service at pulsegto.com and the PulseGTO desktop software (together, the "Service") are provided by Michał Mazur, operating under the Pulse Labs brand, Bobrowa 111, 39-203 Bobrowa, Poland, contact [email protected] ("we", "us").
2. Acceptance
By creating an account, purchasing a plan or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You must be at least 18 years old.
3. What the Service is
- Strategy library. A read-only collection of pre-computed poker strategies ("blueprints") that you browse through the website. We choose which blueprints are published and may add, update or withdraw them.
- Desktop engine. Software you install on your own computer to compute your own strategies. All computation happens on your machine; we never run solves for you.
- Account. The website account that holds your plan, licences and settings.
The Service is a study and analysis tool. Poker results depend on many factors; we make no promise about your results.
4. Plans and prices
| Plan | What you get | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Free | Strategy library, 10 distinct boards per rolling 24 hours. A new flop, turn card or river card uses one slot; changing actions on the same board does not. | Free |
| Browse | Strategy library without the cap | EUR 29.99 / month, recurring (or EUR 299 / year); EUR 19.99 / month for Engine licence holders |
| Engine | Desktop solver licence (see §6), 12 months of updates included | EUR 299, one-time |
| Engine updates | New versions and panels after the first year; optional, the version you have keeps working without it | EUR 99 / year, recurring |
Prices are shown in EUR and include applicable tax. The tax amount, where applicable, and final total are shown before payment. We may change prices; changes apply to new purchases and to subscription renewals after we notify you at least 30 days in advance. Payment is handled by Stripe; we do not see or store your card details.
5. Subscriptions, renewals, cancellation
- Browse renews automatically every month until cancelled.
- You can cancel at any time in the dashboard ("Manage billing"). Access continues to the end of the paid period; no partial refunds for the remaining days.
- If a payment fails, we retry; if it keeps failing, the subscription ends and the account returns to Free.
6. Engine licence
When a free Engine trial is offered, its seven days start when you activate it on one computer. While a trial campaign remains open, you may renew for another seven days after the current period ends. Trial access does not renew automatically and requires an internet connection to verify the licence.
On purchase we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the PulseGTO desktop engine on computers you own or control, for your own study. The licence is bound to a device fingerprint; you may run the engine on up to 2 devices at a time and may release a device to move to another one once every 30 days. The app renews its local licence file automatically while your purchase is valid; you can also generate a replacement from your dashboard. You may not:
- share, sell, rent or sublicense the software or your licence file;
- reverse-engineer, decompile or circumvent the licence check, except where the law expressly permits it;
- use the engine to provide a solving service to others (hosted or on-demand solving for third parties) without our written consent. Selling or sharing the database files you have already generated is allowed under §6a.
The licence is perpetual. Updates to the engine and the desktop application are included for 12 months from the date of purchase; after that, new versions require the optional Engine updates plan (EUR 99 / year), and the version you have installed keeps working without it; some panels of the desktop application are marked as coming in a later update and unlock when that update is installed. We may sell later major versions with substantially new functionality separately, in which case the version you purchased keeps working and keeps receiving fixes. The databases we publish remain ours (§12) and may not be redistributed.
6a. Strategy databases you generate
Your rights. A strategy database (a .pgb file and its sidecars) that you compute with your licensed Engine is a "User-Generated Strategy Database". We claim no ownership rights in User-Generated Strategy Databases. To the extent you acquire any intellectual property, database or other rights in such output, those rights remain with you as the generating user. A User-Generated Strategy Database is not tied to your account, and you may keep, move, back up, give away, share or sell it. The software that produced it, the file format and the engine remain our property (§12), and no rights in them pass with a database. Accessing and using a .pgb database requires a valid PulseGTO Engine licence.
Provenance. Every generated database carries provenance metadata: the engine version, the database name (the run name given when the run was started), the creation time and the training parameters, and a non-reversible stamp of the licence that generated it. This shows what generated the file and when, without exposing the creator's account. It identifies the file; it is not a certification of its quality, and the database name is what the creator typed.
Sharing and selling. Databases may be exchanged between PulseGTO users freely, including for money. We are not a party to such exchanges: we do not sell, guarantee, support, escrow or refund third-party databases, we make no representation about their accuracy or completeness, and we are not liable for any loss arising from buying, selling or relying on them. The person who sells a database is responsible for the description they give of it and for the rights they grant. You may not present a database you generated as one published by PulseGTO, and you may not remove or falsify its provenance metadata.
What we do not take. We claim no licence to the databases you generate on your own computer. If in the future you upload a database to our servers (for example to browse it online or to list it for others), we will use it only as needed to provide that feature to you and to whoever you choose to share it with, under terms shown at the time of upload. Anything beyond that (for example publishing it in our library) would require your explicit agreement.
7. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service only in ways that are lawful and that respect the rules of any poker platform you play on. In particular you must not use the Service, or output derived from it, as real-time assistance while playing where the platform prohibits it. You are solely responsible for compliance with poker room rules and with the law where you live. You must not attempt to access other users' data, overload the Service, scrape the strategy library, or share one account between several people.
8. Your account
Keep your password secret; you are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us at once if you believe it is compromised. You can delete your account at any time from the dashboard; see the Privacy Policy for what happens to your data.
9. Right of withdrawal (EU/EEA consumers)
As a consumer you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. For digital content and services that begin immediately, you lose this right when you expressly ask for immediate delivery and acknowledge the loss. Our checkout asks for that consent, so access starts at once and the purchase is final. If you do not want that, do not tick the consent box; contact us instead and we will deliver after the 14 days have passed.
Independently of the above, if the Service is defective you have the statutory rights of consumers in your country.
10. Refunds
Beyond your statutory rights, we may refund at our discretion, e.g. a duplicate charge or a purchase made in obvious error. Write to us within 14 days of the charge.
11. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the website available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service; maintenance and outages happen. We may change the Service, the published blueprints and these Terms. For material changes we will notify registered users by e-mail or on the dashboard at least 14 days before they take effect; continued use after that is acceptance. If you disagree, you may cancel and, for a prepaid period affected by a change that materially reduces the Service, ask for a pro-rata refund.
12. Intellectual property
The software, the website, the published blueprints, the database file format and all related material are our property or licensed to us. You receive only the rights set out here. We claim no ownership rights in User-Generated Strategy Databases (§6a). Feedback you send us may be used without obligation.
13. Warranty and liability
The Service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we exclude all warranties, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We have no liability for databases generated, sold or shared by users (§6a). Nothing in these Terms limits liability for intent, gross negligence, death or personal injury, or any liability that cannot be limited under the law applicable to consumers in your country.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms (in particular §6 and §7) after notice, or without notice where the breach is serious. Termination for breach does not entitle you to a refund. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the law of Poland, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you live. Consumers in the EU may use the European Commission's online dispute-resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We prefer to resolve issues directly: write to [email protected] first.
